West Bloomfield High School is located in West Bloomfield,
Michigan. This great city was named one of America's "Best Smallest Cities" in 2006. Our school has won state and national
academic awards.
The award winning WBHS orchestra program currently consists of two orchestras, the
Concert and the Symphonic Orchestra. Our orchestral program currently consists
of students.
WBHS Orchestra Department Mission
We believe that within every child there is
a consciousness, which desires to express itself through music. Musical expression
has appeared in every society and every culture. It is imperative that music be encouraged in a caring and nurturing
environment. Involvement in music provides a means through which individuals may express emotion, communicate ideas and explore
humanity. Music education must be for all students and at all levels of their musical education. The West Bloomfield High
School Orchestra Department’s curriculum provides the framework for students to develop musically through a sequential
and spiraling curriculum.
